330 cattle were sold at the Lismore Saleyards on Tuesday.
Heavy & secondary cows sold at similar rates to last week.
Gavin & Kathy Robb’s Aussie Red cow topped at $2.24/kg, $1636.
Trevor Dudgeon AIS cows also sold for $2.24/kg with the best returning $1505.
Secondary cows sold from $1.60 to $1.80/kg.
Plainer cows suitable for lot feeders or restockers sold at better rates.
Most in the $1.10 to $1.60/kg range.
Once again a few cows in low condition sold for under 40c/kg.
Prime vealers suitable for butchers sold from $2.50 to $2.76/kg, $726 to $1132
Weaner steers topped at $2.60/kg for Tom Griffins Angus.
Light vealers ranged from $1.70 to $2.20/kg.
There were more bobby calves, this week being sold due to the drought.
Prices ranged from $10 for 2 week old to $150 for 10 weeks old.
This Saturday will be the last sale in Lismore for 2019.
Only a small number booked in at this stage but well worth a look.
