Ian Weir & Son Pty Ltd I thought you might like to hear this. As always at Lismore sale ring a conversation strikes up with either one or both of the people sitting next to you. As time went on and the first man was ready to buy and he left his seat (he was from QLD but owns a local property) which was followed by an older gentleman from Woodenbong. After he saw my first line of 15 come in and were sold for a good price he said "were they yours?" and I said yes and I have a few more to come. That started a lovely conversation about my breeding; he wanted to know what Stud I bought from etc. And he said after my first line was sold "gees these prices are better than Casino prices". It turns out he had split his sale with steers going to Casino and Heifers to your sale. I can elaborate more but it turned out when he asked where I came from and I told him, he said the only Nowlan I know is Ron Nowlan which of course is my late father. That's what I love about Lismore sale sitting around the sale ring, the conversations start and it is just so friendly. I know his name if you want to know more. Lovely man.
